FBF ITALIA positive displacement pumps are high-performance industrial pumps designed for the gentle and reliable transfer of liquid products containing solid particles. Structurally, these pumps are very similar to high-pressure homogenizers and are manufactured according to the same high-quality engineering and construction standards.

Unlike homogenizers, positive displacement pumps do not include a homogenization unit. This makes them particularly suitable for applications requiring the transfer of products with solid inclusions, such as tomato pieces, vegetables, fruit chunks, yogurts, soups, jams, and similar products, even when operating under high back-pressure conditions, typically 50 bar or higher.

The overall construction closely resembles that of a homogenizer, with the main difference being the compression head, which is equipped with specially designed particle-controlled valve assemblies. These valves are fitted with actuators controlled by an electronic angle positioner, ensuring precise and reliable valve operation. The angle positioner allows independent adjustment of the opening and closing phases of each valve group, providing optimal flow control.

The ability of the pump to operate at low rotational speeds, combined with specially designed passages in the pump-controlled valves, ensures extremely smooth product handling. This gentle pumping action preserves the physical characteristics, structure, and integrity of even the most delicate products while maintaining stable and efficient transfer performance.
